Welcome to the TSIN Registration web site,
the
first step to conducting business on OASIS Phase 1A and completing NERC interchange
transaction tags. All data registered using this new process became effective March
1, 1999, coincident to the implementation of OASIS Phase 1A. This TSIN Registration
process integrates three processes:
- OASIS registration,
- NERC's Interchange Transaction Tagging registration, and
- Registration of transmission product attribute values and Points of Delivery/Points of
Receipt (POD/POR)

PSE Approval URL
If the PSE Specifies a Tag Approval URL The PSE has the sole right to approve transactions that use its resources.
Does not specify a Tag Approval URL The host Control Area approves, on the PSE’s behalf, transactions that use the PSE’s resources.
New in E-Tag 1.7, PSEs (generation providing entities and load serving entities) have the right, but not the obligation, to approve transaction requests that use their resources. If PSEs specify an approval service in the Master Registry
(http://reg.tsin.com), then they are expected to approve or deny transactions when so requested. Otherwise, their Host Control Areas are expected to act on their behalf. The following table illustrates the proper way to interpret this requirement:
| If the
PSE |
Specifies
a unique Tag Approval URL |
The PSE has the sole right to approve transactions that use its resources. |
| Does not specify a Tag Approval URL |
The host
Control Area approves, on the PSE’s behalf, transactions that use
the PSE’s resources. |
